Interning
Smuin Ballet recently participated in the ACHIEVE Program, which provides summer internships to low-income high school students around the bay area. Their mission is to provide access to the kind of quality education that is a prerequisite for opportunity in this country. ACHIEVE creates work and learning experiences that best fit the desires, learning objectives and needs of the individual student.
Smuin Ballet benefited from a remarkable young woman and dancer who interned at the administrative offices for 7 weeks in the summer ‘05. In return, she will receive an individual college fund when she graduates from high school.
