Erica Chipp

Originally from Lake Tahoe, NV, Erica’s formal dance training was received on full-scholarship at The Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, FL. In 2004, Erica joined Festival Ballet Providence, directed by Mihailo Djuric, appearing in world premieres of Gianni Dimarco’s and Viktor Plotnikov’s. Her notable roles include a stepsister in Plotnikov’sCinderella, the Cowgirl in Agnes DeMille’s Rodeo, Mazjana in Eldar Aliev’s 1001 Nights, and Pippi Longstockings in Colleen Cavanaugh’s Pippi. After six seasons with Festival Ballet Providence, she has come to dance with Smuin Ballet. She has also been a guest artist with Pinkerton Ballet Theater, Sierra Nevada Ballet and Petrov Ballet. Outside of the ballet world, Erica enjoys bike riding, hiking, scuba diving, kite surfing and horseback riding.
