Susan Roemer (dancer) is originally from Milwaukee, where she received her training at the
Academy of Dance Arts and the Milwaukee Ballet School. After joining Milwaukee Ballet II,
she danced with Ballet Quad Cities, Augusta Ballet and Northern Plains Ballet. Since joining
Smuin Ballet in 2007, Susan has enjoyed performing in memorable works such as Ma Cong’s
French Twist, Michael Smuin’s St. Louis Woman and Jiri Kylian’s Petite Mort. Susan has spent summers guesting with Ballet North in Chicago, Ballet Montana and the National Choreographers Initiative in Irvine, CA. Susan’s most recent choreographic work, Images that Fade, was a commissioned work for WestWave Dance with Amy Seiwert’s Imagery in the
summer of 2011.
